FRAGMENT
Sun Jan 12 2025

This project serves as both a continuation and a deeper inquiry into my exploration of "fragment." Human memory, like the essence of design itself, can be understood as being composed of fragmented forms. In this work, I deliberately revisited and reconstructed moments from my years of studying abroad—what I saw, heard, thought, and held onto. These recollections are ultimately materialized through a series of foundational physical elements that act as vessels of expression. Now, as I look back on the project, certain emotions from that time still vividly resurface in my mind.

《Coalesce》
9 x 9 x 20.75 in

Fragments · Fusion · The seams of solidity
Structure is not a rule, but the patchwork of a generation
We are not molded, but pieces we gathered ourselves
Starting from shards · Moving toward wholeness with what remains

《Emerge》
9 x 9 x 10.89 in

Moist skin · A will softened by time
Seeping · Blistering: The dullness creeping into the bones
Not a surfacing, but a forced exposure
In loss of warmth · Only through pain can the “self” be felt
This is not rebirth, but a final struggle before complete dispersal

《Eclipse》
9 x 9 x 19.32 in

Invasion · Entwinement · A scaffold of symbiosis
Metal pierced through, yet became the bone
Not a breaking free, but a rising through force
Learning to grow within the state of otherness

《Persist》
9 x 9 x 18.6 in

Clinging · Rooting · The obsession of entangled knots
Desire grows not by impulse, but as rings of unwavering time
Unyielding · Resolute: Grasping both light and darkness
Persistence is not resistance, but a steadfast way of living
